Painless Botox or Botox for a bargain. Which do you choose?

Botox is by far the most popular treatment within the medical aesthetic world of injectables. Some people start using it preventively at the age of 24 and others want to slightly reverse the wrinkles and time around the age of 50. There are also people who are categorically against botox. Nowadays botox, or frown treatments, are offered in many different places and you can even take a shot of botox on your lunch break without anyone noticing. The great thing about this treatment is that it can be done relatively inexpensively with a fast and beautiful result. But what should you pay attention to when choosing the right clinic, doctor, and price?

What does a Botox treatment do exactly?

As you get older, the subcutaneous fatty tissue and bone structure decrease, giving our muscles more room to move and also requiring them to tighten harder. This causes you to frown more often, or raise your eyebrows for example more often and stronger. You are unconsciously training your muscles all day long and this excessive movement causes frown lines and forehead wrinkles that may annoy us. The loss of volume and gravity also causes the sagging of the eyebrow and especially the brow tail, which makes you experience a heavy, or pressing feeling, or can even cause headaches and migraines.

Botox is injected into that over-trained muscle and causes it to relax and temporarily lose mobility. The result is a relaxed and rested look and a lighter feeling on your forehead and eyelids. Because the skin is less mobile, new wrinkles are less likely to appear and the lines already ‘folded’ in the skin will slowly unfold.

A reason many people start using botox is also to reduce the ‘angry look’. Relaxing the frown actually gives a younger and friendlier look.
Botox does not only have to have a cosmetic indication but can also be used for migraines, teeth grinding, or excessive sweating.

Our painless Botox method

Within Van Lennep Kliniek, we strive to make our clients’ experience as pleasant as possible. After all, you’re volunteering to be pricked, and we can imagine you’d rather undergo a relaxing massage than those needles on your face. Our painless Botox method ensures that even customers with a fear of needles are among our regular clientele.

Why are the Botox prices so different?

  1. Our cosmetic doctors KNMG work with well-researched, safety-tested A-brand products with proven, effective, and long-lasting results.
After two weeks, a check-up appointment is part of our regular service.
  2. We work with the thinnest needle available, ‘the invisible needle‘, so you hardly feel the prick through the skin. Also, the invisible needle gives a much smaller chance of bruising or redness after treatment.
To make botox, a freeze-dried powder, the doctor normally adds a physiological salt solution. This causes a burning sensation when injected. At Van Lennep Kliniek, we work with a modified solution that does not sting. The combination of the thinnest needle and the addition of a special solution makes the treatment painless.
  3. We act safely and always inject the recommended dosage. We also like to see the results. That’s why we schedule a check-up appointment after every Botox treatment, after two weeks. During this appointment, we check how things went in the days following the treatment and our doctors look at how the muscle activity in the face has improved. Has the optimal result been achieved? If not, should there be a free touch-up?
  4. Within the Van Lennep Kliniek, it is important to stay up-to-date, act evidence-based, and remain competent in all actions within the profession. Therefore, our doctors are affiliated with the scientific professional association for cosmetic doctors, The Dutch Association of Cosmetic Medicine (NVCG). Expert training and experience sharing are central to this.

So you see, a Botox treatment at Van Lennep Kliniek is a sustainable choice. Because we know better than anyone that Botox for a bargain can often end up costing you more.
