DEN HAAG – Cosmetique Totale, a portfolio company of investment firm BB Capital Investments, has acquired injectables specialist Van Lennep Kliniek. With the acquisition, Cosmetique Totale adds knowledge and expertise in the growing market of cosmetic botox and filler treatments to its services.
Cosmetique Totale is the market leader in Benelux in the field of skin and laser therapy and, with the support of investment company BB Capital, has added the three branches of injectables specialist Van Lennep Kliniek to the group, after announcing a few weeks ago that it will also enter the European market with a multi-million dollar financing from international private debt fund Kartesia. The acquisition marks the twelfth add-on acquisition since BB Capital acquired a majority stake in Cosmetique Totale in 2020.
Susan van Koeveringe, Managing Partner BB Capital Investments: ‘The market for injectables, such as botox and filler treatments, is a fast-growing segment in the European cosmedical sector. With the acquisition of Van Lennep Kliniek, Cosmetique Totale is able to enter this market as well, further expanding its services. This will make cosmedical treatments more widely accessible and of higher quality.’
Van Lennep Kliniek is a specialist for injectables treatments and was founded 15 years ago by cosmetic doctor KNMG Ludy Holst. A total of 20 staff work within The Hague and Oegstgeest branches, including cosmetic doctors, a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, and certified skin therapists. The clinic focuses on injectables and skin improvement.
Ludy Holst, director, and founder Van Lennep Kliniek: ‘It is a wonderful step to be able to offer an even more complete set of treatments, and the new combination has everything we need for that. Joining Cosmetique Totale gives us more clout to further improve our care. I look forward to working with my specialized team to use our medical knowledge and expertise to put high-quality and safe treatments on the map in a much larger and international context.’
Cosmetique Totale has, since its establishment in 2004, become the market leader in the Netherlands in the field of skin and laser therapy. All skin therapists are members of the Dutch Association of Skin Therapists (NVH) and registered in the Quality Register Paramedics (KP). The Cosmetique Totale group has 42 branches in the Netherlands and Belgium, with a total of over 400 treatment locations.
Fabian Otto, director Cosmetique Totale: ‘By welcoming the Van Lennep Kliniek within our group, we add a very important treatment method to our expertise. The Van Lennep Kliniek brings high-level knowledge and expertise to a growing market for cosmetic anti-aging treatments which we are keen to develop further in order to be better able to fulfill our mission to enable as many people as possible to become the best version of themselves in an accessible and qualitatively responsible way.’
