Aftercare skinbooster treatment

Directly after skinbooster treatment

Bruising and minor or more significant swelling may be visible, depending on the extent of the treatment.
There is a high likelihood of some bruising in the neck area, as the skin there is thinner than on the face.
Bruises will be cleared by the body within approximately 7 days.
Due to gravity, bruises may settle downwards and change shape in the days following the treatment.
Sometimes a bruise is visible immediately, while in other cases it may appear after a day or several days. Occasionally, it may only be noticeable as a bruised or tender sensation.
The skin may appear red, but this usually fades significantly within 30 minutes.
A protective and hydrating cream may be applied after the treatment.
Mineral makeup may be used immediately after treatment to conceal any injection sites.

Specific to PDRN hair loss treatment:
After scalp injections, it is normal to experience temporary mild redness, small bumps or swelling, and occasionally some bruising. These usually disappear within a few days.
You can generally resume your daily activities the following day.

24h to 3 days after skinbooster treatment

For the first three days following treatment, do not apply skincare products containing acids, such as glycolic acid or salicylic acid.
It is important to keep the skin well-hydrated during the first few days after treatment using a neutral cream.
Avoid visiting a sauna or having beauty treatments for the first two days.

Specific instructions for PDRN hair loss treatment:
Do not wash your hair, exercise, or engage in activities that cause sweating (gym, sauna, or hot baths) for 24 hours. Avoid alcohol, tanning beds, and direct sun exposure.
Try not to scratch or massage your scalp. The injection sites need to close, and the product needs time to settle and disperse.
Intense exercise may be resumed after 48–72 hours. It is best to wait one week before using a sauna, hammam, or tanning bed.
After 2–3 days, you may resume the activities mentioned above, but continue to be cautious with:
Washing your hair; use a mild shampoo and avoid harsh products (such as scrubs, peels, or ketoconazole if it causes stinging).
Avoid using a hot hair dryer or straightener.
Do not scratch or massage the scalp vigorously.
UV radiation can damage the skin. It is recommended to wear a hat or cap to protect your scalp from the sun.

The result of a skinbooster treatment

The result will be noticeable after two weeks.

A bruise may still be visible. Protect your skin properly with an SPF 50. Reapply several times a day.
Up to three months after the treatment the process of skin improvement will continue.
Fine lines caused by sagging skin and superficial fine lines will be reduced.
Depending on which skinbooster is used, the effect will last for 6-12 months.
Depending on the type of skinbooster used, it is recommended to repeat the treatment2-3 times to achieve the best result.• There should be at least 2 to 4 weeks between treatments.
The skinbooster can give increasingly long-lasting results when repeated.
Combine the treatment with skin therapy treatments, such as microneedling and peelings. The treatments will strengthen each other, making the skin improving effects visible more quickly.

Most common side effects with skinboosters

The following symptoms may occur after a skin booster treatment:

A small bump caused by over-correction, which can be resolved with hyalase (an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid).
