What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a skin treatment in which our skin therapist uses a dermapen to create controlled micro-channels in the upper layers of the skin. The dermapen is a device equipped with ultra-fine needles. Your skin reacts to this stimulation by activating its natural healing process, which accelerates skin renewal and improves skin texture. These channels close shortly after the treatment. In the meantime, your skin is able to absorb serums and other active ingredients much more effectively, allowing the skin therapist to tailor the treatment precisely to your specific skin concerns.

What does a microneedling treatment involve?
First, you will have an intake consultation with the skin therapist. She will listen to your needs, analyze your skin, and create a personalized treatment plan. During the treatment, she will cleanse your skin and apply a serum to ensure the Dermapen glides smoothly and the serum penetrates the correct skin layer.
The depth of the needles varies from 0.5 to 2 mm, depending on the indication and your skin condition. You may experience a prickling or burning sensation and some warmth. Depending on the area being treated, a numbing cream can be applied.
The treatment takes an average of 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the area. To finish, you will receive a soothing and cooling mask, followed by a cream and SPF.

Recovery after treatment
After the treatment, your skin will remain red and feel warm for 1 to 2 hours. Don't worry, this is a normal reaction and will gradually subside. A red glow may be visible for a few more days, and your skin may start to flake slightly.
Your skin therapist will advise you on which products are best to use at home to ensure your skin recovers well and you enjoy the results for longer. Also, don't forget SPF: good sun protection helps your skin in the days following the treatment. Everything you need to know about microneedling treatment
How many treatments do I need?
Depending on the condition of the skin, an average of three to six treatments are required for a good result. By treating in this way, the progress of the process can be monitored. Each microneedling treatment will be a boost for your skin.
Will I see immediate results?
The effect is not immediately visible after the first microneedling treatment. Due to the natural recovery process and the production of the body's own collagen, the first result is only visible after three weeks. The recovery is then in full swing and the optimal result can be seen after two months.
Is the treatment painful?
Microneedling is sensitive, but tolerable for most people. On request, an anesthetic cream can be prescribed and applied.
Which microneedling treatment is right for me?
That depends on your skin and what you want to achieve. During the free consultation, the skin therapist will examine your skin and provide honest advice on which option is best for you.
Is there downtime?
During treatment, small spots of blood may be visible. These will disappear after a few minutes because the skin has closed again immediately. The skin may turn pink to red after the treatment. It is also possible that the skin will peel or swell slightly. In some cases, small scabs may form. However, they disappeared very quickly. The skin will feel fresher and tighter after just a few days.
