PDRN, also known as polynucleotides, is a powerful regenerative ingredient extracted from purified salmon DNA. The salmon's DNA has similarities with human DNA and is therefore recognized by skin cells. Polynucleotides are long chains of nucleotides and these, in turn, are the building blocks of DNA. At the biological level, polynucleotides act as a guide for the cells. Within the medical and aesthetic world, PDRN is known for its strong restorative and rejuvenating properties.
At the cellular level, PDRN stimulates:
• the activity of fibroblasts (cells that produce collagen);
• tissue repair and cell renewal;
• reduction of inflammation, including redness and swelling;
• and the improvement of hydration (by binding water molecules) and blood circulation in the skin.
As a result, PDRN is increasingly being used for skin aging, skin repair and intensive skin regeneration treatments.
