Recently, I had the opportunity to undergo the new combination treatment, Microneedling & Peel | Glow. I would like to share my experience and results of this wonderful treatment. In this treatment, microneedling is first used to a depth of up to 0.5 mm. Then, the SkinCeutics gel peel is applied. It consists of 20% glycolic acid and 10% lactic acid.
My skin quality prior to treatment:
· Slightly dull skin;
· PIH is present (pigment spots that occur after pimples and inflammations). Especially on the jawline and cheeks and double chin and neck;
· Pore structure is fairly coarse;
· Minor acne outbreaks, especially in the area of the double chin, jawline and chin;
· Mild melasma under the eyes and cheekbone.
How do I experience the treatment?
Microneedling is always a bit sensitive, but since this treatment works at a maximum depth of 0.5, it's not that bad. The treatment is also carried out very quickly, so the sensitive sensation is over in no time. Only when “needling” do you feel a kind of mini sandpaper that is present, feels sharp, and “glides” over the skin. The peeling that is applied afterwards provides a stinging sensation for about 3 minutes. Then you feel a mild (fine) warmth in the skin. This must not be refrigerated.
Immediately after treatment:
The skin feels warm and a little tight, and the skin also feels slightly fuller and firmer. A bit of a plumping effect. The skin is a bit redder and slightly warmer than normal and sensitive.
1-2 days after treatment
The skin feels a bit tight and tight and there is mild redness. Furthermore, it is slightly sensitive when touched. This sensation lasts for approximately 2 days.
3 to 4 days after treatment
On the third and fourth days, the redness has almost disappeared. You still see a very mild red glow. It looks like my skin has a very healthy color. The skin is no longer sensitive and tight. I already notice that there is less PIH, that I have fewer acne (outbreaks) and, in addition, my pigment is slowly starting to disappear. My skin also feels smoother and healthier.
One week after treatment
My skin is very calm. I have fewer acne outbreaks, less PIH and melasma is also less. The pore structure is now also less rough. All in all, I am very pleased with the new treatment and I really notice a nice difference in: acne, PIH, melasma and pore structure. I am also slowly noticing that the volume and firmness are increasing somewhat.

1-2 dagen na de behandeling
De huid voelt wat trekkerig en strak aan en er is milde roodheid aanwezig. Verder is het iets gevoelig bij aanraken. Deze sensatie houdt ca. 2 dagen lang aan.

3 tot 4 dagen na de behandeling
De derde en vierde dag is de roodheid zo goed als weggetrokken. Je ziet nog een heel milde rode gloed. Het ziet ernaar uit dat mijn huid een heel gezonde kleur heeft. De huid is niet meer gevoelig en trekkerig. Ik merk nu al dat er minder PIH is, dat ik minder acne(uitbraken) heb en daarnaast begint mijn pigment langzaam weg te trekken. Ook voelt mijn huid gladder en gezonder aan.
Een week na de behandeling
Mijn huid is erg rustig. Ik heb minder acne uitbraken, minder PIH en het melasma is ook minder. De poriestructuur is nu ook minder grof. Al met al ben ik erg te spreken over de nieuwe behandeling en merk ik echt een mooi verschil in: acne, PIH, melasma en poriestructuur. Ook merk ik nu langzaam dat het volume en stevigheid wat toeneemt.
