Een full face benadering houdt rekening met de onderlinge samenhang van alle gezichtsspieren. Bij botox full face kijken we naar je gezicht als geheel.

Botox full face at Van Lennep Kliniek

Sometimes treating one zone is exactly what's needed. However, over time, other facial muscles might start to dominate, making the result look less natural or balanced. A full-face approach considers the interconnectedness of all facial muscles. With full-face Botox, we look at your face as a whole. By making subtle adjustments in multiple areas, we create a balance that you feel, but others can't quite pinpoint. You don't look "treated." You just look like yourself, but at your best.

What is full face Botox?

Our cosmetic physician evaluates your entire face and creates a treatment plan tailored to your anatomy, facial expressions, and preferences. It's not about treating as many areas as possible, but about achieving the right balance. Only the muscle groups that contribute to a natural and harmonious result are targeted.

Most people know Botox for classic areas like the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. However, a full-face treatment extends beyond these familiar areas. Sometimes, the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference. Consider a few units to relax the chin for a more refined look, subtly lift the corners of the mouth, gently curl the upper lip (lip flip), or soften the bunny lines next to the nose. It's precisely the combination of these subtle corrections that can create a softer, fresher, and beautifully balanced appearance.

Masseter (jaw muscles)

Strongly developed jaw muscles can result in a broad or angular jawline. By subtly relaxing the masseter muscles, the facial contour can appear softer and slimmer. Many people also choose masseter treatment for teeth grinding or jaw clenching, as it can reduce tension in the chewing muscles. Treating teeth grinding or jaw clenching typically requires a higher dosage of Botox than light facial contouring.

Chin

An active chin muscle can cause an uneven skin texture, often referred to as an 'orange peel' appearance. By subtly relaxing the muscle, the chin looks smoother and more refined. For some, this also brings the chin slightly more into focus, creating a subtle contouring effect that contributes to a harmonious balance in the lower part of the face.

Lip flip

A lip flip gives your upper lip a more subtle, slightly fuller appearance without the use of fillers. By injecting a small amount of Botox above the lip, the upper lip rolls slightly outward. This is especially popular if your upper lip tends to disappear when you smile or if your lip line has become less defined.

Downturned corners of the mouth

Downward-turning corners of the mouth can create a tired or grumpy appearance, even when you don't feel that way at all. By gently relaxing the muscle that pulls the corner of the mouth down, you can achieve a friendlier and softer facial expression.

Bunny lines

Bunny lines are the fine wrinkles that appear on either side of the nose when you laugh or scrunch your nose. For some, these lines can be quite prominent or may accentuate a frown. A small amount of Botox can subtly soften them, giving the mid-face a more relaxed appearance.

Crow's feet

Crow's feet are the fine lines around the eyes that become visible when you smile or squint. A subtle treatment softens these lines without losing the character of your smile. Furthermore, relaxing the muscle around the eye can provide a slight brow lift, making the eyes look more open, refreshed, and rested, while giving your expression a softer appearance.

Frown wrinkles

The frown wrinkles is one of the most commonly treated areas with Botox worldwide. The vertical lines between the eyebrows can create an angry, tired, or tense appearance. By subtly relaxing the frown muscles, the face gains a softer and more relaxed expression. Because the muscles of the forehead and the frown work closely together, the physician always assesses whether both areas should be treated together for a natural and harmonious result.

Forehead wrinkles

Horizontal forehead lines are caused by the muscle that lifts your eyebrows. By subtly relaxing this muscle, the forehead appears smoother and more relaxed, while your natural expressions remain intact. The dosage is carefully tailored to ensure you avoid a heavy or expressionless look.

Neck (supplementary treatment)

The neck is not included as standard in a full-face Botox treatment, but it can be treated as an additional area if desired. When vertical neck bands or a tight neck muscle draw attention, Botox can create a smoother transition between the face and neck. Whether this treatment is suitable for you depends on your anatomy and goals, which will be discussed during your consultation.

Botox full face treatment results

We don't believe in changing, but in refining.

A full face treatment does not automatically mean more Botox or a frozen face. On the contrary: by carefully distributing small doses across different muscle groups, natural facial expressions are preserved. The result is a fresh, rested appearance, without anyone noticing you've had a treatment.

HOW IT WORKS

From consultation to visible results

01
It all begins with a complimentary, comprehensive initial consultation. Our aesthetic doctor takes the time to analyze your face, listens to your goals, and discusses what you'd like to improve. Next, we assess which treatment best suits your anatomy, natural expressions, and overall aesthetic.
02
A full-face Botox treatment typically takes 20 to 30 minutes. Using a very fine needle, the cosmetic physician injects small amounts of Botox into the pre-agreed areas. Most people experience the injections as minor, superficial pinpricks that are well-tolerated.
03
You can immediately get back to your day after the treatment. The injection points are so tiny that you'll often have to look closely to even see where the Botox was injected. Occasionally, there might be slight redness, a minor swelling, or in rare cases, a small bruise, but these reactions are temporary and will disappear on their own.
04
The effect of Botox gradually builds up and is usually fully visible after 5 to 14 days. Depending on your muscle activity, metabolism, and lifestyle, the results remain visible for an average of 3 months.

Why Botox full face  at Van Lennep Kliniek?

At Van Lennep Kliniek, we believe that a fresh and natural appearance goes beyond just reducing wrinkles. That's why we don't just focus on Botox, but on the entire face and how it ages naturally.

A full-face Botox treatment is one way we can restore balance to the face. However, sometimes a combination with skin improvement, collagen stimulation, or fillers yields a more beautiful and lasting result. Our cosmetic doctors therefore always recommend the treatment that best suits your face and your wishes – not simply the treatment you initially came in for.

With over 15 years of experience in cosmetic medicine and a team of NVCG-certified cosmetic doctors, expertise, safety, and honest advice are paramount. This also means that we sometimes advise postponing a treatment or not performing it at all. Because ultimately, we believe that the best treatment isn't the most extensive one, but the one that allows you to radiate naturally.

FAQs

Everything you need to know about the botox treatment
Does botox treatment hurt?
Botox is injected into the skin with very small needles. Most people describe it as small pinpricks and don't experience it as painful. It is a treatment that only takes a few minutes. It is a treatment that has been used for more than 30 years and has proven to be very safe. Provided that the advice and regulations are followed properly, it is a treatment with very little risk of unwanted side effects.
Can I go to work immediately after the treatment?
A botox treatment generally has no visible side effects. Occasionally, it is possible that a small blue spot occurs that disappears after a few days. This blue spot can of course be camouflaged with makeup.
What is the long-term effect?
In the longer term, botulinum toxin can ensure that the movement in the treated areas can remain soft. This is because the zones are not used excessively actively for a long period of time. It is also possible that you have lost the use of various muscles. An example of this is the frown wrinkle treatment. It is possible that you will frown a lot less after the Botox treatment because you are no longer used to it.
Is Botox dangerous?
Botox is a brand name, just like Azzalure or Bocouture. All of these brands contain Botulinum Toxin. Botulinum toxin is a protein complex that is secreted by the Botulism bacteria. Cosmetic botox is a purified toxin and has first been extensively tested in a laboratory. This special substance works very selectively on the nerve endings, right where it is injected. Because it only works locally, botulinum toxin is very suitable for medical and cosmetic applications. A muscle that has been injected with botulinum toxin will contract less strongly for a number of months. After the partial blockade of the muscle, the strength of the muscle fully recovers. The result is therefore completely reversible.

When is Botox not suitable?
In general, a Botox treatment is feasible in most situations. The treatment will not be performed only in case of pregnancy or certain rare muscle diseases. This will also be asked about in the intake interview.
Is there 1 type of botox?
The name Botox is a brand name. The active substance of the injectable is called botulinum toxin. Other brands of botulinum toxin include Dysport, Azzalure, Bocouture, and Vistabel. Van Lennep Kliniek only uses the A-brands.
